The Peninsula Beijing is proud to be honoured with One Michelin Star for Jing restaurant and its chef de cuisine, Julien Cadiou received the only Young Chef Award of the city at the launch of the Michelin Guide Beijing 2021. The second edition of the world-famous restaurant guide was unveiled at a glittering ceremony in the Chinese capital on 16 November 2020, and highlights Beijing’s thriving status as a culinary destination for Chinese and international dining.
Coveted by chefs on every continent, Michelin recognition is only bestowed on the very best. The award of One Michelin Star for Jing – which serves contemporary French gastronomy with subtle Asian inspirations by Chef de Cuisine Julien Cadiou – is a significant milestone for The Peninsula Beijing. A new award for 2021 Michelin Guide Beijing, Young Chef Award recognises young starred chefs with exceptional talent and great potential. Chef Julien is not only being recognized for his cooking talents but also how he generously shares his experience and skills with fellow colleagues. A harmonious and professional team has flourished under his leadership with Chef Julien is the only chef in Beijing receiving this award,
