With its prime location and exceptional service, The Peninsula Beijing has been an iconic landmark in the Wangfujing district of Beijing since opening its doors in 1989. Following a major renovation that was completed in 2017, which combines timeless Chinese artistry and craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, the award-winning hotel sets new standards in design, luxury and comfort.
30 YEARS OF EPICUREAN EXCELLENCE
Across three decades, The Peninsula Beijing has been acclaimed for its culinary excellence. To celebrate this, a year-round calendar of anniversary experiences will highlight the diversity of the hotel’s dining venues. All summer long, wine connoisseurs can enjoy a promotional price on 30 global wines at Jing, the hotel’s contemporary French restaurant, while discounts on homemade chocolates and macarons provide an extra incentive to take home the exquisite flavours of The Peninsula Boutique. At Huang Ting, Executive Chinese Chef Simon Leung will delight diners with a curated Cantonese menu that blends classic and modern techniques.
WECHAT DINING MOMENTS AT THE LOBBY
Interactive social dining is elevated to an exciting new level this season at The Lobby. Special 30th birthday benefits and a credit voucher will be offered to Weekend Brunch and Afternoon Tea guests who post an in-dining image on WeChat Moments, and achieve a minimum of 30 likes from friends, family and acquaintances.
LATE-NIGHT FEAST AT JING
For guests with a busy schedule, a new three-course set menu is now offered by the restaurant, priced from RMB 280 per person. Tailored for diners arriving after 9 pm, Late Night at Jing serves a regularly refreshed menu of popular dishes, enabling guests to enjoy either two or three courses at their leisure.
WEEKEND YOGA IN WANGFUJING
Yoga is the perfect way to counteract everyday stress, rebalance those energy-giving chakras and feel fit and fabulous for summer. An inspiring yoga party in partnership with Anta Plus on Saturday 15 June enables guests to enjoy meditative stretching and breathing exercises beneath the hotel’s Chinese pailou archway (historically reserved for royalty to pass beneath) in the courtyard. Yoga master Victor, who studied classical yoga at the world-famous Sivananda Kutir centre in India and counts over 5,000 hours of teaching experience, will guide up to 100 guests to help them perfect their Cobra, Cat and Lotus poses. The session takes place from 8 am – 9 am, followed by refreshments.
BIRTHDAY PARTY BENEFITS
Jing has long been a coveted choice for birthday parties, and the Birthday Celebrations offer makes it an even more attractive destination. For a minimum reservation of four diners, guests celebrating a 30th birthday this season can enjoy French Chef de Cuisine Julien Cadiou’s three-course menu courtesy of the hotel, plus a complimentary birthday cake. The Lobby restaurant is also pleased to present a Birthday Celebration package enabling four to dine for the price of three. The curated modern European feast is completed with the birthday guest blowing out the candles on a delectable chocolate and vanilla Saint Honoré cake.
GOLDEN LOGO INSPIRED BY TIMELESS CHINESE CULTURE
To honour 30 years of unparalleled luxury hospitality in the Chinese capital, The Peninsula Beijing has commissioned a special golden logo crafted with sweeping Chinese calligraphy brush strokes. The design of the logo draws its inspiration from the hotel’s traditional pagoda roof and references the abstract Chinese mosaic in the guest bathrooms, which depicts the movements of a goldfish and alludes to the hotel’s address on the historic Goldfish Lane in Beijing
