Gatsby Invites Guests To Relive The Roaring Twenties At Felix With This Season's Most Spectacular Theatre Dining Experience

This fall, the mysterious Jay Gatsby arrives in Hong Kong to host a series of lavish dinner parties at The Peninsula Hong Kong’s fabled Felix. The restaurant high atop the hotel is transformed into a 1920s New York City speakeasy to transport guests to a golden age of glamour, elegance and sensational gastronomy. “The Great Gatsby Immersive Dining Experience” at Felix is presented in partnership with the award-winning Secret Theatre and showcases a theatrical performance with menu by Chef de Cuisine Juan Gomez. 

After a record-breaking sold-out run in Hong Kong, Secret Theatre’s internationally acclaimed Artistic Director Richard Crawford is back in town with the world-premiere of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Each interactive dinner performance is an invitation to the glittering life of Jay Gatsby and his high-society circle of friends. 

Famed for its flamboyant spirit paired with Philippe Starck’s avant-garde design, Felix is the perfect setting as Jay Gatsby’s opulent mansion for the city’s most sought-after show. Taking inspiration from New York’s roaring twenties, Chef Juan creates an imaginative four-course dinner for Jay Gatsby’s hedonistic celebrity party. Exquisite menu highlights include Gatsby Fried Chicken and Deviled Eggs, as served in the classic novel but with a contemporary twist. Guests will also enjoy a reimagined version of Lobster Toast with Black Truffle and the much-loved Upside-down Pineapple Cake, whose sweet origins can be traced back to the glamorous 1920s. 

Taking the stage every Thursday to Saturday at 7:00 pm, between 21 October and 27 November 2021, this dazzling dinner theatre experience is limited to three shows per week, priced at HK$ 2,000,* and VIP tickets at HK$ 2,500*, each including a four-course dinner, a welcome drink and The Great Gatsby’s immersive theatrical performance. 

For the first time, an NFT (non-fungible token) will be made available in a live theatrical setting, as VIP tickets include an NFT on the night from Jay Gatsby himself in addition to a bottle of Champagne for every two persons.
