The Peninsula Chicago Goes Pink

17/10/2017
The Peninsula Chicago is again thinking pink for a purpose this October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Marking its seventh anniversary in 2017, the annual Peninsula in Pink campaign aims to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer charity partners. This year, The Peninsula Chicago is proud to support a local charity partner, A Silver Lining Foundation (ASLF).

The main entrance and signage of The Peninsula Chicago will be artfully illuminated in pink each evening from October 1 to 31, 2017. The hotel’s flower arrangements will adopt a rose hue, and a “Remembrance Tree” will be available for guests to write the names of cancer survivors or memories of loved ones. Pink ribbon pins, pink tote bags and pink candles are available for purchase in the Gift Shop with a portion of the proceeds donated to ASLF. In addition, guests can enjoy the following pink-infused gourmet dining and spa experiences, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the charity partner.

  • The Lobby will serve a special Pink Peninsula Afternoon Tea, featuring rose-tinted sweet and savory treats presented on a tiered silver tea stand.
  • The “Pretty in Pink” cocktail will be featured in The Bar.
  • Pierrot Gourmet will feature a Rose Lychee Macaron.
  • The Spa will feature “Pedi-for-a-Cure”, a deeply nourishing pedicure as well as a “Think Pink Massage,” a relaxing 90-minute full body massage including a hydrating pink mud mask applied to the feet, hands, and scalp for intense moisturizing.
This year marks The Peninsula Chicago's first ever partnership with ASLF, that ensures socioeconomic status does not affect an individual’s ability to obtain information, timely cancer screening and diagnosis. ASLF partners with 15 hospitals in the greater Chicagoland areas to provide access to the entire spectrum of breast health testing for uninsured and underinsured women and men in a timely, dignified and respectful fashion.
