The Lobby will remain closed for in-person dining until future notice. Shanghai Terrace will use The Lobby restaurant to serve dinner guests.

THE PENINSULA SPA / FITNESS CENTER / SWIMMING POOL

  • Body temperature screening of all guests entering the hotel is mandatory.
  • Guests are required to wear masks in public spaces.
  • Reservations are strongly recommended. For Spa reservations and assistance, please call +1 312-573-6860. 

The Peninsula Spa: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm 

  • Modified menu of treatments available.
  • Locker room and steam room are temporarily closed.
  • Only bottled water will be offered. Pre-packaged snacks available. 
  • Reading materials will not be available.
  • Health declaration form to be completed upon spa check-in.

Fitness Center: 6:00 am - 8:00 pm

  • Only bottled water will be offered. No fruits, reading materials or cold towels will be available.
  • Headsets available upon request.
  • Limitation of the number of guests in the fitness center. Guests will need to schedule a reservation in advance. Guests will have a maximum 1hr time allotment.
Swimming Pool & Terrace:  6:00 am - 8:00 pm
  • Limitation of the number of guests in the swimming pool and terrace. Guests will need to schedule a reservation in advance. Guests will have a maximum 2hr time allotment
  • Family hours (only time children are allowed to swim): 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. During family hours, guests will have a maximum 1hr time allotment.
  • Temporarily suspended services: Hot tub, pool toys, and equipment (floaters, goggles)
 

SEASONAL AMENITIES

 

Unfortunately The Peninsula Chicago will not offer the seasonal Sky Rink for the 2020/2021 Winter Season. 

 

RESTAURANTS

  • Table size will be limited to no more than four people per indoor table.
  • Face coverings must be worn at all times, except when patrons are seated and actively eating or drinking
  • Patrons must be seated whenever they are eating or drinking
  • Tables must be six feet apart
  • Indoor service limited to no more than two hours
  • All bars and restaurants must close at 11pm

 

EVENT VENUES

  • Events will be limited to the lesser of 25 guests or 25% of overall room capacity both indoors and
    outdoors
  • Indoor events will be able to serve food or drinks, but indoor service guidelines must be followed:
  • Face coverings must be worn at all times, except when patrons are seated and actively eating or drinking
  • Four people per indoor table
  • Patrons must be seated whenever they are eating or drinking
  • Tables must be six feet apart
  • Indoor events must end at 11pm

FOR STAYING GUESTS

  • Body temperature screening of all guests entering the hotel is mandatory.
  • All hotel staff will wear facemasks and /or gloves.
  • Please inform your estimated time of arrival, and your preference for in-room check in and escort.
  • Guests are required to wear masks in public spaces.
  • Operation hours and service for The Peninsula Spa, Fitness Center and swimming pool are limited.
  • Your luggage will be sanitized upon your arrival.
  • Business Center is temporarily closed. 
  • Newspaper service will be available upon request, while Press Reader is available online.
