The hotel’s iconic Afternoon Tea adds a delicious line-up of healthy, planet-conscious choices

Afternoon Tea at The Peninsula Bangkok – where refined cuisine, elegant service, and live music accompany captivating views of the Chao Phraya River – has long been one of the city’s cherished dining traditions. Beginning 1 August 2021, however, this classic affair will incorporate a modern new twist: A menu of delicious plant-based dishes crafted with guest and environmental health in mind. 

The new plant-based Afternoon Tea offers both dishes and beverages made with highly nutritious and vegan ingredients. The sweet and savoury fare includes vegan scones accompanied by raspberry jam, lemon curd, and non-dairy butter; luscious pastries flavoured with mango-coconut-sesame, dark chocolate, and apricot-acai; and an assortment of vegan tarts and finger sandwiches featuring wild mushrooms, truffle-infused vegetables, house-made hummus, and artisanal fresh-baked breads. In addition to its customary, extensive selection of teas and coffee drinks, The Lobby also now offers (for an additional fee) nutrient-rich beverages like smoothies, herbal tonics, house-brewed kombucha, and creative blended coffee drinks like Rose Soy Latte and Thai-rish Coffee. 

Plant-Based Afternoon Tea is served daily at The Lobby from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, one day’s advance reservation is required.

It is priced at THB 1,100++ for one person, THB 1,998++ for two persons and THB 2,490++ with two glasses of Champagne.
