Important Notice
①Driver and Co-Driver must be over 20 years old with a valid Japanese driver’s license or a valid International Driver’s Permit (IDP).
②Precautions for driving in Japan
Please note that the rally route will include mountainous roads with steep slopes.
Japan's road traffic laws are strict, and penalties will be given in the event of a violation. Please be sure to check the rules for speeding, road signs, and lane changes. *We will provide a briefing on April 17, 2025.
③For cars to be eligible to be driven in Japan without local registration, the owner’s must obtain CPD (Carnet de Passage en Douane) from an authority at their original country before shipment.
④Participants must hold a copy of the compulsory 3rd party insurance certificate and a copy of voluntary insurance certificate (both must be valid in Japan and during the event).
⑤Please note that due to limited availability, entry applications will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. Furthermore, certain documents will need to be sent in advance to The Japan Driving Experience committee and a 100% non-refundable advance payment is required. Applications will be reviewed accordingly. Notification of entry acceptance will be sent by e-mail.
⑥For those needing to have their cars transported to and from Japan:
CARS JAPAN, our designated car import partner, has been assigned to assist with the shipping and importation of participants’ vehicles, if desired. For information on lead time of shipment and fees, please contact CARS JAPAN.
Applications must be completed by Friday, December 20, 2024.
Participants must be present in Tokyo by the afternoon of Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the latest to pass their passport to CARS JAPAN and receive their respective cars.
⑦The Japan Driving Experience will commence on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the rally start line and conclude on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at The Magarigawa Club. Following the event, participants will be transferred back to The Peninsula Tokyo. Special rates are available at The Peninsula Tokyo for accommodations before and after the event. For travel plans and accommodations beyond The Peninsula Tokyo prior to or after the event, participants will need to make their own arrangements. JTB Global Lounge Ginza, our luxury partner travel agency, has been appointed to support participants with any necessary travel arrangements prior to or after the event.Should you need any support, please contact JTB Global Lounge Ginza.
