Established in 1885 Ginza Sushiko Honten is a well-established and much-loved sushi restaurant that makes authentic, top-end sushi accessible for overseas visitors. The family of English-speaking head chef, Mamoru Sugiyama, have been Sushiko chefs for 4 generations. This restaurant has seating for 22 people over 2 floors around counters where the chefs can be watched crafting exquisite sushi and grilling and boiling delicious cooked tsumami (appetisers). Meals are primarily Omakase style, although guests may order extras as accompaniment.

Ginza Iwa offers top-grade sushi at mid-range Ginza prices with lunch sets starting JPY 16,000 per head. Chef Hisayoshi Iwa learned the art of sushi-making at the famous Sushi Kanesaka.
