Impeccably crafted by the Cantonese chefs at the hotel’s Michelin-starred Yi Long Court restaurant, these traditional treats make delicious and thoughtful holiday gifts to share with loved ones and associates.

This year, the Mid-Autumn offerings from Yi Long Court include three exquisite flavours: Traditional Egg Custard Mooncake, a perpetual favourite; Purple Yam and Sweet Rice Mooncake, which were introduced last year and immediately popular; and a brand-new option, Rum Raisin Custard Mooncake, which harmoniously blends the flavours of East and West.

This year’s new Rum Raisin Custard Mooncakes expertly blends Western dessert flavours into traditional Chinese mooncakes. The recipe uses plump, fragrant raisins soaked in aged rum, which imbues them with warm notes of sugarcane, vanilla, and caramel. These flavours, combined with the mooncakes’ delicate, smooth custard filling, adds a marvellously sweet complexity to every bite. The Rum Raisin Custard Mooncakes, offered in boxes of eight pieces, are packaged in elegant wooden gift box patterned with graceful Peninsula-green design motifs.

Last year’s enormously popular Purple Yam and Sweet Rice Mooncakes will also return this year. These distinctive treats are both richly indulgent and delicate, with a filling comprising creamy purple yam and sticky, mildly sweet rice. On the palate, the finished mooncakes evoke mochi: soft, pillowy, and luscious.
