Blending a refined dining room with a grand reception hall designed for the most memorable celebrations, Le Lobby has been a jewel of the social scene for over a century : a true theatre, witnessing the artistic effervescence of Paris past and present. Here, Gershwin composed An American in Paris. There, Proust crossed paths with Joyce. Picasso, Stravinsky, and many others enjoyed tea, a cocktail, or attended an elegant reception beneath its delicate moldings. What if the opening act were, in fact, the ultimate destination?

In the warmer months, extending from the lobby, La Terrasse Kléber opens daily for those who appreciate the finer things: a sun-drenched haven in the heart of the 16th arrondissement, perfect for a shaded lunch, an iced tea, or an open-air dinner.

A must-visit in the capital, the Peninsula’s Tea Time evolves with the seasons and the creativity of our Pastry Chef Anne Coruble, named Pastry Chef of the Year. At tea time, she subtly reinvents the signature sweets of this centuries-old tradition in a ballet of textures, colors, and aromas. On Sundays, the Lobby Brunch, a true gourmet ritual and a highlight of elegant weekends, shines thanks to the sumptuous luminosity of our Versailles-style Lobby.
