The Peninsula Tokyo Launches The Imperial Afternoon Tea

The Peninsula Tokyo is pleased to launch the Imperial Afternoon Tea, honoring The Peninsula Hotels’ iconic Afternoon Tea which has been a long-standing tradition at its flagship hotel, The Peninsula Hong Kong. Starting February, guests can enjoy the acclaimed Afternoon Tea from the residential comfort of a Deluxe Suite overlooking the beautiful Imperial Palace Gardens and Hibiya Park.

Seasonal ingredients are crafted into petit fours, savories, homemade scones and indulgent sweets, and are accompanied by a selection of 20 teas, including organic teas from Art of Tea and a free-flow of prestigious Dom Perignon Champagne. Subject to availability, the experience may be upgraded to either the magnificent Peninsula Suite (347 sq m / 3,730 sq ft) on the 23rd floor or Hibiya Suite (298 sq m / 3,206 sq ft) located on the 22nd floor. Guests may also order selected items from the room service menu, all the while enjoying the magical atmosphere of live music from a band in the suite. A dedicated butler, dressed in an authentic Japanese kimono, will be on hand to ensure a superlative teatime experience, and there will be a special appearance by Peter the Bear, The Peninsula Tokyo’s ambassador mascot. For a seamless transfer to the hotel, pick-up in The Peninsula Tokyo’s bespoke Rolls-Royce is included (within the 23 wards of Tokyo) for the most elegant of arrivals.
