This summer, The Peninsula Istanbul brings the flavours of Madrid to its poolside restaurant, Abelia, through a collaboration with guest chef Diego Guerrero of two-Michelin-starred DSTAgE. Designed exclusively for the season, Abelia x Diego Guerrero presents a superb special menu showcasing the chef’s innovative Spanish-Mediterranean dishes, complemented by signature craft cocktails and a stunning setting alongside the Bosphorus. 

Rooftop Chic at GALLADA by Fatih Tutak and Topside Bar

Drawing on the distinctive ingredients and cooking traditions of both East and West, award-winning Turkish chef Fatih Tutak creates delectable Turk-Asian specialties at this signature restaurant. Set on the rooftop of The Peninsula Istanbul, GALLADA’s indoor and outdoor spaces offer sweeping views over the Bosphorus and the Historical Peninsula; both are ideal for enjoying Chef Tutak’s sharing plates, seasonally inspired cocktails, and – in the evenings – dynamic tunes from a rotating cast of internationally renowned DJs. 

Sharing its top-floor location and gastronomic inspiration with GALLADA, Topside Bar offers artisanal cocktails, top-shelf spirits, and premier wines and beers along with stunning water views. At the “golden hour,” when the setting sun glitters across the Bosphorus, the bar is an especially magical place to sample from the mixologists’ special “Captain’s Log” menu: a collection of exotic libations inspired by destinations along the Maritime Silk Road. On Thursday evenings, performances from visiting DJs enhance the summery mood.

All-Day Ambience at The Lobby

The literal and figurative heart of The Peninsula Istanbul is The Lobby restaurant, set in the hotel’s main building, a former historic passenger ferry terminal. With its elegant décor and soaring windows overlooking the Bosphorus, the dining room is a sophisticated spot for enjoying all-day menus of Turkish and international fare – or daily signature Peninsula Afternoon Tea, featuring the artful dessert creations of Pastry Chef Malte Rohmann and music from live performers.

Movie Nights by Hublot

Once again this summer, The Peninsula Istanbul will host a series of alfresco movie and sporting event screenings on its atmospheric Herb Garden terrace. Amid the fragrant flowering plants that supply the hotel’s chefs, guests can gather for after-dark viewings of international films, World Cup soccer matches, and cocktails and snacks under the stars.
