Mid-Autumn Festival Is A Gourmet Celebration With Legendary Mini Egg Custard Mooncakes By Michelin-Starred Spring Moon

Mooncakes are a cherished highlight of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, and connoisseurs agree there is no substitute for the handmade delights baked by The Peninsula Hong Kong’s Michelin-starred, Cantonese fine-dining restaurant Spring Moon. Available for just a few weeks each year, the highly coveted mini egg custard mooncakes will be available to order from 20 July 2020.

First launched in 1986, Spring Moon’s mini egg custard mooncakes raised the bar for this festive confection by blending eastern traditions with international culinary techniques. Since then, the mooncakes’ popularity has continued to rise, making them as sought-after as they are delicious. In addition, the enchanting mini heart-shaped egg custard mooncakes are available in a limited-edition of just 2,020 boxes. Each box of limited-edition mini egg custard mooncake includes a specially designed greeting card with HK$ 50 to be donated in support of ImpactHK, a local NGO which addresses homeless problem in Hong Kong.

Spring Moon has also designed a Spring Moon Deluxe Gourmet Hamper brimming with irresistible tastes of the season, including a box of limited-edition mini egg custard mooncakes, 30-head Middle East dried abalone, 18-head fish maw, conpoy and other delicacies. Available for purchase from 20 July 2020, priced at HK$ 3,888, this deluxe gourmet hamper is an ideal gift for family members and business associates – or simply for guests’ own personal enjoyment.

The Spring Moon mini egg custard mooncakes and 2,020 boxes of limited-edition mini egg custard mooncakes will be exclusively available to purchase online athttp://mooncake.peninsula.com from 20 July 2020 and 24 August 2020, respectively. The website will go live at 8:00 am daily, while stocks last. A maximum of 30 boxes can be purchased per order. Each box contains eight homemade mini egg custard mooncakes and is priced at HK$ 580 while the limited-edition mini egg custard mooncakes is priced at HK$630.

Mooncake vouchers can be collected at the Hankow Room, on the 6th floor of The Peninsula Hong Kong, from 30 August to 1 October 2020. Boxed mooncakes will be available for collection at Spring Moon from 10 September to 1 October 2020.
