Ring in the Year of The Rat with The Peninsula Hong Kong's Lunar New Year Celebrations
A ‘Must See’ Event
Symbolising prosperity and good luck for the upcoming year, the lion dance is one of the most indispensable traditions of the Lunar New Year, and therefore the ideal way to kick-start the hotel’s festivities. Featuring nine lions and one dragon, the traditional dance can be enjoyed in The Lobby on Saturday, 25 January 2020, the first day of the Lunar New Year. Elaborate decorations featuring peach blossoms, red flowers and festive lanterns will adorn all areas of the grand building and forecourt to symbolise good luck, while pink plum blossoms and kumquat bushes laden with golden-orange fruit will aim to bring prosperity while providing a backdrop against which guests can enjoy a collection of curated experiences for all the family.
Festive Puddings and Hampers
