The Peninsula Chicago is again thinking pink for a purpose this October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The annual Peninsula in Pink campaign aims to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer charities. This year, The Peninsula Chicago is proud to support local charity partner, A Silver Lining Foundation.

Pink is the preferred color at The Peninsula Chicago each October, the main entrance and signage is artfully illuminated in pink each evening from October 1 to 31st. The hotel’s flower arrangements adopt a rose hue, and a “Remembrance Tree” is available for guests who contribute a US$ 5 donation to write names of cancer survivors or memories of loved ones.

Throughout October, The Lobby will serve a special Peninsula Pink Afternoon Tea, featuring rose-tinted sweet and savory treats presented on a tiered silver tea stand for US$ 125 including a glass of Champagne, and US$ 55 for children, plus tax and gratuity.  From each tea served, US$ 5 is donated to the charity.  Afternoon Tea is offered Friday through Sunday, with tea seatings at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm. For guests with dietary restrictions, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available.

The “Peninsula in Pink” cocktail features Grey Goose vodka, St. George raspberry liquor, and Champagne. The cocktail is available for US$ 24 in Z Bar with a donation of US$ 3 from each purchase.
