The Peninsula Express: An Enchanting Festive Voyage

The festive season is the most magical time of year at The Peninsula Hong Kong, when the legendary “Grande Dame of the Far East” transforms into a marvellous winter wonderland. This year, the hotel takes special holiday inspiration from the golden age of railway travel by inviting guests on an enchanting voyage aboard The Peninsula Express.

The Peninsula Hong Kong first opened its doors to visitors during the Christmas season of 1928 – many of whom arrived via Salisbury Road after long train journeys.

The hotel honours the heritage, and the excitement of holiday travel, by recreating itself as a bustling vintage train station. Guests will be transported back to the grand era of steam locomotives and railway adventures – and embark on a delightful itinerary of sumptuous meals, family activities, and festive events.

To celebrate the spirit of giving and the magic of the season, a portion of proceeds will benefit those in need through a partnership with ImpactHK, a local charity that supports the homeless and underprivileged in Hong Kong.
