Afternoon Tea during the festive season at The Peninsula Chicago is an annual tradition for many guests. The 20-foot Christmas tree and lavish holiday décor enhance this special experience, which features a traditional English tea menu including a variety of finger sandwiches, scones with house made preserves and Devonshire clotted cream, and petite seasonal pastries. Vegan and gluten-free options are available.

Entertainment includes performances from a string duo daily, plus visits from Santa on weekends from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm*.

Dates: Daily from November 24, 2023 through January 7, 2024. Seatings are at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm.

Price: (Excluding tax and gratuity)

• Monday through Thursday: US$ 140 for adults, including a glass of Champagne, and US$ 65 per child (ages 5-12)
• Friday through Sunday: US$ 150 for adults, including a glass of Champagne, and US$ 85 per child (ages 5-12)

For each adult Holiday Afternoon Tea sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago (BGCC).

*The schedule for Santa is subject to change. Mrs. Claus will be in attendance in place of Santa on December 2.

**Please note, the 20-foot Christmas tree is taken down by December 31, due to The Lobby's New Year's Eve gala. The other holiday décor will remain up through the duration of Holiday Afternoon Tea.
