Look Like Me

November 23, 2015
Comme Moi
For anyone who’s ever flicked through the pages of a glossy fash mag – lingering longingly over glam looks and gorgeous garms – and thought, ‘I wish I looked like that’, now’s your chance. Lu Yan, the original Chinese supermodel, has introduced the Autumn/Winter 2015 collection of her uber-covetable line, Comme Moi.
Launched in collaboration with leading Sino multibrand store Lane Crawford, as part of their ‘Created in China’ programme, this season’s offering has been inspired by the 2008 Patti Smith Documentary, Dream of Life.
And the exceptional attire does more than just pay tribute to the original punk poet, it embodies her strength and spirit too.
Sharp, masculine tailoring mingles with an inherently beatnik aesthetic on a double-breasted herringbone jacket and wide chevron-pleat trousers, worthy of an evening spent at the Chelsea. Elsewhere, cashmere knits bring understated luxury ideal for the cool winter months ahead in the shade of the season: snow white.
Or, for those in search of something a little more singular, there is a capsule collection of party-ready glad rags marked with an alluring abstract print that promises to turn heads.
But what’s a new frock without some fancy footwear to go with? Fortunately, there’s a natty range of chic shoes courtesy of Christian Louboutin. Merci, Lu Yan!
