Bob Dylan in Paris
Having recently been awarded 2016’s Nobel Prize in Literature and bagging two Grammy nominations (including one win), Dylan is on tour supporting his first triple-disc album Triplicate – launched in March and featuring 30 brand-new recordings of classic American songs.
If you want to hear his rasping voice and soaring songcraft, then get your mitts on a hot ticket to see the curly-haired cult legend strum his stuff at two Parisian venues this spring. On Thu 20 Apr Dylan plays Le Zénith Paris in La Villette and on Fri 21 Apr he’ll perform at La Seine Musicale, an exciting new archi marvel and music venue on the Seine River in the city’s western suburbs. Dylan will actually inaugurate the new building in advance of its 22 Apr launch.
Designed by acclaimed Paris/Tokyo-based Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, this fabulously futuristic music venue sits on river island Île Seguin, a former Renault car factory. With its billowing glass sails and egg-shaped dome it resembles a sleek container ship and is well worth a visit in its own right.
