Thai Fashion Find

January 09, 2017
You can pick up international fashion finds anywhere, but if you want to score some hot pieces by a happening Thai label, seek out Disaya. Founded in 2005 by creative director Disaya Sorakraikitikul, the brand is known for floaty and fitted feminine looks, with pretty pattern and luxurious embellishment. Disaya credits her training at Central Saint Martins and with John Galliano for her London influence, giving her range a confident feel, with inspirations including English Arts and Crafts pioneer William Morris.

With the help of starchitect Duangrit Bunnag (the Thai talent behind minimal-chic hotels and Bangkok’s creative complex The Jam Factory), the fashion label has opened its first stunning industri-cool flagship at Groove, CentralWorld, parading not only the brand’s own goodies but also accessories by other cool curated global names. Look out for vintage-inspired sunnies by Gentle Monster, scarves by London’s Rockins and Cléo Ferin Mercury, and Chiara Ferragni’s glamorous high heels, which pair playfully with Disaya’s covetable collection.

Divided into two zones – Disaya’s clothing range and desirable home decor, stationery and accessories by overseas brands – this one-stop lifestyle boutique is ideal for shopping with your partner, as there’s plenty to distract guys and girls. Interiors fiends can source serveware by UK designer Tom Dixon or home scents by Dr. Vranjes, or snap up notebooks by Sloane Stationery. There’s even an Hermès bike if you really want to treat yourself!
