Cooking Class and Tea Ceremony at Shanghai Terrace
This program is designed for those who are interested in learning authentic Cantonese dim sum making techniques in a private setting with the restaurant’s head chef. Tutored by Ivan Yuen, Chef de Cuisine of Shanghai Terrace, you will spend two hours with the chef in the restaurant’s kitchen. You will gain an overall knowledge of traditional Chinese ingredients involved in everyday cooking, techniques in dim sum making, ingredient selection, menu planning, tasting for final seasoning adjustments and plate presentations. A Chinese Tea Ceremony experience is also a part of your experience. Following your class you will enjoy a four-course dinner in Shanghai Terrace, with wine pairings. A photo book of your experience in the kitchen will be provided upon departure.
