Earlier in the year, the hotel was named a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star hotel for its second consecutive year, one of only three in the city to receive the coveted ranking.

Australian-born, Ms. Vodusek brings more than 20 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry. She received separate diplomas in hotel and business management from the Blue Mountain International Hotel Management School in Sydney and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, respectively. She first joined The Peninsula Hotels as Hotel Manager at The Peninsula New York in 2010 and relocated to Manila as General Manager in 2011 before joining The Peninsula Tokyo in 2015.
Mr. Richard SorensenThe Peninsula TokyoHotel Manager
Canadian-born Mr. Sorensen has more than two decades of experience in the international luxury hotel industry in Canada, United States, the West Indies, Uruguay, and Costa Rica. In 2007, Sorensen joined The Peninsula New York as Resident Manager, later transferring to The Peninsula Chicago where he served as Hotel Manager for the past five years before joining The Peninsula Tokyo in March 2016.
Mr. Joseph LeeThe Peninsula TokyoExecutive Assistant Manager, Food & Beverage
As Executive Assistant Manager, Mr Lee joined The Peninsula Tokyo in November 2016 with over 18 years of experience in Food and Beverage operations. His extensive culinary travels have taken him across four continents, working at luxury hotels and resorts such as the Fairmont Grand Hotel in Ukraine, Raffles Seychelles, and St. Regis Bangkok. Mr Lee holds a Culinary Arts Degree from the Western Culinary Institute in Oregon and a degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the University of Massachusetts.

Ms. Otake joined The Peninsula Tokyo in July 2017 from De Beers Diamond Jewellers Japan, where she held the position of Country Director for the past three years. Prior to this, she held a number of positions within marketing and strategic planning with Sony Corporation in Tokyo, Sony Corporation of America in New York, Sony Pictures Entertainment in Los Angeles, and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communication in Sweden. Fluent in Japanese and English, Ms. Otake holds an MBA from INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France and is a graduate of International Christian University in Tokyo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations.
Ms. Meret BrunnerThe Peninsula TokyoDirector of RoomsMs. Brunner joined The Peninsula Tokyo in 2016 from The Peninsula Bangkok, where she served as Front Office Manager since 2013. Prior to that, she was with The Peninsula New York for seven years where she held various positions within the Food & Beverage, Front Office, and Reservations departments. Ms. Brunner is a graduate of the prestigious Swiss Hotel Management School in Luzern, and completed the one-year certificate program in Hotel Revenue Management at Cornell University, New York.

Mr. Honma has over 15 years experience in the international luxury hotel industry. He joined The Peninsula Tokyo in 2008 as Assistant Director of Human Resources and in 2012 was promoted to Director. He is currently responsible for over 500 members of staff at the hotel.
Mr. Yasuyuki TsuboiThe Peninsula TokyoDirector of SalesMr. Tsuboi graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. With a rich international background living in Egypt, Iran, Kuwait and USA, he joined The Peninsula Tokyo’s pre-opening team in 2007 as a room reservations agent. In 2008 Mr. Tsuboi moved to the Sales Department and in 2017, he was promoted to Director of Sales.
Ms. Tomoka SanoThe Peninsula TokyoDirector of Public Relations & Brand Communications, JapanMs. Sano has more than 15 years’ experience working in the sports management, sports broadcasting and luxury fashion industries. She joined as Public Relations Manager as a member of the pre-opening team in 2007 before being promoted to Director of Public Relations and Brand Communications in 2015, overseeing The Peninsula Hotels public relations in Japan. Ms. Sano holds a Master of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Commerce, Waseda University.
Ms. Akane TanakaThe Peninsula TokyoChief Concierge
Ms. Tanaka has over 16 years of international guest relations’ experience. She was posted to Amsterdam for seven years before returning to Japan to work in the luxury hotel industry, and in 2007, she accepted the position of Chief Concierge at The Peninsula Tokyo. Ms. Tanaka is one of only 14 members of the prestigious Les Clefs d’Or Japan.

Ms. Murata has over 15 years of guest relations experience working in the USA and Japan. She was appointed Guest Relations Manager of The Peninsula Tokyo in 2007.
Mr. Jun OtaniThe Peninsula TokyoDirector of Bridal and Conference ServicesMr Otani has over 25 years experience in the hotel and catering industry in Japan overseeing rooms, banquets, meetings and weddings. He joined The Peninsula Tokyo as Director of Catering in 2006. Mr Otani holds certificates granted by Cornell University and Lausanne Hospitality Consulting for hotel sales and hospitality management studies respectively. In 2013, he joined Hilton Tokyo as Director of Sales and in 2015, he re-joined The Peninsula Tokyo as Director of Bridal and Conference Services.
