  • Mr. Mark Choon
    The Peninsula Manila
    General Manager

    Mr. Choon joined The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited in 2001 as a pre-opening team member and Night Manager of The Peninsula Chicago. Following a number of positions in Chicago, including Resident Manager, he was relocated to The Peninsula Bangkok in 2010 as Hotel Manager. Four years later he moved to Japan, appointed as Hotel Manager of The Peninsula Tokyo and in 2016, he joined The Peninsula Manila as its General Manager.

    A native of Seattle, Washington in the United States, Mr. Choon received a diploma in communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a certificate in the Essentials of Hospitality Management from Cornell University

  • Mr. Yves Thoma
    The Peninsula Manila
    Resident Manager
    Mr. Thoma, a German national and graduate of the École Hôtelière de Lausanne, joined The Peninsula Manila in April 2015 carrying forth a broad experience in various Food and Beverage and Operations positions in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining The Peninsula Manila, he worked at the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
  • Mr. Masaya Fudeguchi
    The Peninsula Manila
    Director of Rooms
    Mr. Fudeguchi has made his way up at The Peninsula Hotels, having worked previously at The Peninsula Tokyo as Front Desk Manager and most recently at The Peninsula Chicago as Director of Front Office. In 2014, he returned to Asia and transferred to The Peninsula Manila as Director of Rooms. Prior to his career at The Peninsula, he worked at the Hyatt Regency in Kyoto and the Park Hyatt Tokyo.
  • Mr. Romel Alvarez
    The Peninsula Manila
    Director of Engineering
    A graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Alvarez started his hospitality career as a shift engineer at the Intercontinental Hotel Manila in 2002, later being promoted to Assistant Director of Engineering. He joined The Peninsula Manila as Chief Engineer in 2005 and continues to spearhead the Engineering team and oversee a number of special projects requiring his expertise.
  • Mr. Allan Sison
    The Peninsula Manila
    Financial Controller
    Prior to joining The Peninsula Manila in 2012, Mr. Sison held various positions in finance over the last 10 years with the Dusit Thani Hotel and Marriot Hotel in Manila and the Singapore Marriot Hotel. He holds a degree in Accountancy and earned his Masters in Business Administration from the Philippine School of Business Administration.
  • Mr. Noel Silva
    The Peninsula Manila
    Human Resources Manager
    Mr. Silva joined The Peninsula Manila since it opened in the 70s and has extensive experience in all aspects of hotel operations, having held positions in Public Relations, Rooms Division, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Food and Beverage, and Human Resources. A Liberal Arts major from the De La Salle University of Manila, Mr. Silva is currently responsible for overseeing the welfare of employees of the hotel.
  • Ms. Jill De Villa
    The Peninsula Manila
    Director of Sales

    Ms. De Villa is responsible for managing and maintaining long-term relationships with key accounts and maximizing sales opportunities with them. She also champions the hotel’s database management program. Ms. De Villa has more than 15 years of experience working within the hotel sales industry and is a graduate of Assumption College, with a degree in Commerce and Major in International Business.

  • Mr. Mariano Garchitorena
    The Peninsula Manila
    Director of Public Relations

    A journalist by training, Mr. Garchitorena is responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive public relations and marketing plans that generate positive media coverage, heighten market presence, increase market share, and ultimately produce increased revenues and profitability for The Peninsula Manila. Mr. Garchitorena holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of the Philippines.

  • Ms. Jean Gella
    The Peninsula Manila
    Director of Business Development
    Ms. Gella has more than 15 years of experience doing Sales, Banquet Events, and Catering in the hospitality industry in Manila. She began her career with The Peninsula Manila in 2008 as Senior Sales Manager and was later promoted to Assistant Director of Events. In 2014, she returned to Sales as Assistant Director of Sales and was moved to Director of Business Development in 2016.
