We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, la femme Parisienne is blessed with a certain je ne sais quoi when it comes to style. And we have bonne nouvelles for anyone hoping to appropriate this effortless chic… it comes courtesy of Argentina-born, Paris-defined womenswear designer Vanessa Seward.
The A.P.C. alum, and former accessories designer for Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent, launched her eponymous label at Paris Fashion Week back in March 2015, and the inaugural bricks-and-mortar boutique soon followed.
Decked out in deep royal blue with brass accents and fine-grained marble appointments, the sleek space mirrors the voguish wears hanging from the racks. And what ravishing regalia it is...
Given her credentials, it’s little surprise that the bags are nothing short of beautiful: simple, streamlined saddle silhouettes and a beau bucket shape to boot. However, it’s not just the arm candy that has the French fash pack a-flocking.
Seward’s signature is a slim-cut, high-waisted jean with cleverly positioned pockets that flatter the feminine form and will look great with everything you already own, or even better with the lamé button-downs and pussy bow blouses from her seventies-tinged A/W collection.
Other standouts include A-line skirts, party-ready frocks, and jumpsuits that exude elegance with ease. Allez, à la boutique!
