Black might always be in fashion, but, over the past few years, one creative collective have been converting Paris’ best dressed gents to the hue of blue...
French design docents Études Studio have garnered a firm style-savvy following via their signature cobalt suits, shirts and casual wear which sell through their e-store, as well as big-name label stables like 10 Corso Como and Galeries Lafayette. But now the local lad’s brand is braving the street scene with the opening of its first ever bricks-and-mortar boutique in the ever-chic haut-Marais.
Outfitted by Cigüe architects, the industrial 100 sqm space keeps things clean-lined and edgy with a simple white and smoke-grey palette and concrete architectural accents. Lining the long racks are all the offerings of the most recent ready-to-wear collections, ranging from cerulean tees and tailored indigo blazers to slim-fit navy slacks, bowler hats and all manner of azure items in between.
Not feeling blue? There are also some minimalist monochrome picks like the fun Fido Dido sweater and oversized button-ups adorned with grayscale artwork by Mårten Lange. You might even start seeing red (or a little yellow) when the anticipated autumn-winter range drops. Also in the works are some exclusive threads, which will only be available at the flagship, plus new titles from Études’ own range of lim ed art and photography tomes. True blue.
