New York Style of Mind

September 08, 2015
New York Fashion Week

Stylistas, brace yourselves. It’s time to stop worrying about whether Margiela’s furry hooves will translate from the runway to real life (they probably won’t, although they’re certain to get you featured on at least one influential street style blog).

New York Fashion Week is almost upon us, and with it comes the largest assemblage of professional strutters, designers, editors, air-kissers and wannabes this side of the Atlantic.
Home to the all-American heroes – Ralph Lauren, DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger, to name a few – the Big Apple’s snappy showcase has also become increasingly cosmopolitan over recent seasons.

The Spring/Summer 2016 presentations see exciting and emerging talents from all over the world – including Concept Korea, Zang Toi from Malaysia and the UK’s Jenny Packham – sharing their creative visions for the future.
And it’s not just the schedule that excites, NYFW has moved into shiny new downtown digs – Skylight at Moynihan Station in Manhattan’s historic James A. Farley Post Office and Skylight Clarkson Sq, a former High Line terminal in Soho.
Moynihan will play host to some of the biggest sartorial names, including Jeremy Scott, Prabal Gurung and BCBGMaxazria, while Clarkson Sq sees models draped in the likes of Derek Lam, Alice + Olivia and Ohne Titel totter down the catwalk. What a frow-stopper!

10-17 Sep, 2015.
