All Good Things

After interior designer Kyle Wittels’ family bought the spacious but run down Tribeca premises of former textile company Freund, Freund and Co., it fell to Wittels and his ex-girlfriend Camilla Wilson to develop the space. Finally, September 2012 saw the much-heralded unveiling of the finished product – All Good Things, a delicious, hip and potted version of the famed and much larger Chelsea Market. With its raw-brick and peeling plaster walls, high ceiling and industrial loft-like but cosy ambience, plus a hand-curated roster of some of the city’s best purveyors all brought under one roof, AGT is attracting not only the local foodies but the gourmand demi-monde from further afield too.

Inside you’ll find Anouchka Martin’s Polux Fleuriste and their herby hand-tied bouquets, the home-roast beans of Blue Bottle Coffee, cheese and hand-pressed sandwiches from Cavaniola's Gourmet Cheese Shop, plus dreamy organic gelato from Blue Marble Ice Cream. Dickson's Farmstand supplies hard to find cuts of meats and poultry, while All Good Things Fish and Produce Stand dispenses not just great seafood but tips on preparing and serving. Keith Cohen’s Orwashers bakery shelves doughnuts and cookies alongside hand-raised loaves, while Nunu Chocolates piles on the calories with everything from ganaches to bars. Add a simple oyster bar upstairs and restaurant downstairs cheffed by Ryan Tate (ex-Savoy) and the old axiom can’t be disputed – all good things come to those who wait.
