Vero Moda

Manila’s SM Megamall has well and truly lived up to its title with the expansion and opening of the new wing early this year (now taking the crown for the largest mall in the mall-studded Philippines), but even if it wasn’t already a serious style destination with the additions of fast-fashion giants H&M, Zara, Uniqlo and Topshop, it certainly is now with the opening of cult Danish label Vero Moda. Launched in Denmark in 1987, the brand celebrates over 25 years of history with this Filipino flagship, and has already proved so popular with stylish locals that a second branch is due to open soon at SM Aura.

Beloved for its wearable interpretations of catwalk trends, Vero Moda Philippines debuted with its pre-fall 2014 collection, which focuses on four distinct lines – Feminine and Lace, Sailor and Casual Sport, Autumn Flowers, and Noisy May. In layman’s terms, think flattering, ladylike silhouettes boldly printed in ikat and safari, making effortless the transition from day to night; work to play. Add to that a luxe tailored collection, signature denim range, and a line of slinky intimates, and you’ve got the one-stop style shop that perfectly embodies its name – ‘true fashion’, indeed.
