Pulse 3D Light Show
Christmas in Hong Kong may not usually be a white one, but the Fragrant Harbour certainly knows how to make it bright with its elaborate holiday shopping displays, decoration-clad buildings, and a special seasonal edition of the semi-annual Pulse 3D Light Show, of course. Taking place every evening from 17-29 December, the audiovisual extravaganza will see the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and across-the-way TST clocktower transformed into gigantic canvases for moving Christmas projections choreographed to classic Yuletide tunes.
If you have your own little elves in tow, make for the piazza opposite Kowloon Public Pier where you’ll have prime views plus family-friendly activities at hand, or if you’re in town with that special someone and seeking something slightly more intimate, take to the water and watch the illuminations from your own privately chartered boat – you can even enjoy the accompanying Christmas melodies with the show’s music broadcast through FM 103.4. Those who really want to revel in romance can then zip over to Central’s Statue Square, where glittering skyscrapers lit up like presents surround a towering tree where you and your sweetheart can hang a ‘love lock’, or simply stroll hand-in-hand beneath the city’s pretty lights.
The Pulse 3D Light Show runs for fifteen minutes, four times nightly from 8.30pm-10pm. The Statue Square Christmas celebrations will take place each evening until 1 Jan.
