Newly minted in July, this fine femme sports laurels galore, with celebrity stamps of approval from TV doyenne Oprah Winfrey and kitchen queen Martha Stewart. Plus, Bon Appétit Magazine lauded her signature Mille Crêpes – 20 wafer-thin crêpes layered with light pastry cream and finished with a crisp caramelised top coat – as among America’s top ten cakes.
The Harbour City locale offers both dine-in and takeaway, with a minimalist open-plan archetype of white, as well as dustings of periwinkle. In addition to the mouthwatering Mille Crêpes, expect the award-winning Gâteau Nuage (named the best cheesecake in the Big Apple by New York Magazine) and other sugary delights including the Banana Mille Feuille, golden puff pastry paired with whipped cream, vanilla sponge cake and perfectly ripened bananas; or the tongue-tingling Tarte au Citron, a delicate balance of sweet and sharp on a classic shortbread crust.
