Hong Kong is horsey mad, with equine fans flocking to the city’s twin race courses at Happy Valley and Sha Tin. For something extra special though, gallop to the Longines Masters, the chicest four-legged event being put through its paces.
Witness the world’s best riders, including Olympic medalists, perform in exhilarating showjumping competitions, and enjoy a unique cultural experience with luxury, modern art, gastronomy, entertainment and sports all under one roof. Considered the Grand Slam of indoor show jumping, the extravaganza takes inspiration from tennis to bring its sporty spectacle to three iconic cities across three continents, including LA, Paris and now HK.
Running over three action-packed days, the schedule embraces excellence and elegance across a host of events. Highlights include Friday’s showjumping thrillers the Hong Kong Jockey Club Trophy and HKJC Race of the Riders; Saturday’s natural dressage show by Spanish horseman Santi Serra presented by Shanghai Tang, alongside the whip-fast Longines Speed Challenge and a gig by Belgian singer Alice On The Roof; and Sunday’s gripping showjumping finale the Longines Grand Prix (#WeRideTheWorld).
Canter to the Prestige Village, based around the competitors’ warm-up arena, for boutique shopping and socialising, whether it’s a champagne lunch or after-parties, wine tastings and live music (there’s even an all-ages Kids Corner). If you’ve always wondered where you can combine sassy stallions and hot-to-trot DJs, Longines is the answer to your prayers!
