It’s a tough gig, but someone’s got to do it. If you think you’re man or woman enough to take on four days of eating, drinking and entertainment, then Taste of Hong Kong is for you! Then again you could just dip in for one session...
Taste brings Asia’s premium restaurant festival to Central Harbourfront from 16 to 19 March. This second edition of the popular gourmet gathering is set to be even bigger, with more hot restaurants, signature plates, pop-up bars, 60-plus artisan food and beverage producers, and one-off epicurean experiences including interactive masterclasses.
Top chefs will cook up a storm with live demos and offerings from their own restaurants, with over 50 Insta-inspiring dishes from HK$50. Hong Kong-based talents include Matt Abergel (of Yardbird and Ronin), Arcane’s Shane Osborn, and Zuma’s Samuel Wilkes.
Foodie gurus also hail from further afield, including Kei Kobayashi of Paris’s Nippon-infused French eatery Kei, who brings his gnocchi with black truffle and Iberico ham to the table, and Nick Kim from NY’s sushi temple Shuko, who demos his Japanese cooking skills. Mmmm!
Savour foodie talks, chef collaborations, champers and food pairings, and wine tastings, or sample, sip n’ shop at the Gourmet Market, where innovative producers share their wares. Book ahead for savings (with extra perks with VIP tickets), and make this a hot date in your culinary diary…
