Food, Glorious Food

The Nosh

Chicago foodies will already be familiar with the name The Nosh. After first appearing last summer with a series of well-received pop-up markets in the A. N. Pritzker School parking lot in Wicker Park, the gourmand group’s name has fast become synonymous with all things tasty, outdoorsy and lovely. But like all other local residents and ventures, The Nosh’s style was completely cramped by the unrelenting Windy City winter. The natural solution was of course to move the popular markets indoors, and until April 27 you’ll find them alongside the Logan Square Farmer’s Markets at the former Pierre's Bakery site.

From 10am to 3pm each Sunday, The Nosh’s rotating roster of more than a dozen local food vendors (including restaurants, food trucks and caterers) compliment LSFM’s offering of produce, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, pies and sweets with prepared foods spanning global cultures and local favourites. There’s creative ‘farm-to-fork’ Mexican courtesy of Dia De Los Tamales, Asian-focused fowl dishes like chicken poutine hash by Pecking Order, homemade small-batch soup company Karl’s Craft Soup, and organic juices like the Teen Spirit (apple, kale, celery, mint) from Vert. Add in Cup & Spoon coffees and live music, and you’ll just about feel like it’s summer once more!

Until 27 April, 2014.
