Top Picks... Chicago Restaurant Week

January 16, 2017
Delicious Dining Deals

With Chicago Restaurant Week taking over town from 27 January to 9 February, LUXE prepares food fans for another two diet-damning weeks of great food at great prices. Loosen your belt and get ready to blow those taste buds...

The annual culinary celebration features special prix-fixe menus starting at $22 for a three-course brunch (new this year!) or lunch, and $33-$44 for three- and four-course dinners at some of the city’s best dining establishments. Drinks, tips and taxes are excluded, but the prices are still lip-smackingly appealing, giving you the chance to try out exciting hot spots on your radar.

Pop online to browse the 350-plus participating restaurants – including 66 newcomers for 2017 – with contemporary American, Italian, French, Asian, Mexican and more culinary styles showing off Chicago’s multicultural culinary talents, from steakhouses to seafood. Boasting neighbourhood faves, downtown destinations and suburban secrets, the list will definitely offer something to tickle your fancy, with deals and menus shared for your delectation (book early to ensure your table).

Our top tasty picks include Italian-stallion Siena Tavern, Spanish tapas treat Salero, shiny diner Dove’s Luncheonette, steak stalwart Gibson’s, and new Argentine-bent El Che Bar. But there are tons more not to be missed...

Also be sure to dip into either of the Peninsula’s two chic restaurants, both serving exclusive lunch and dinner menus. Gallic-glam Pierrot Gourmet’s tailormade dinner includes delicious mains choices of pan-seared wild salmon or rotisserie chicken, or lunch in The Lobby and sample elegant Champagne risotto, followed by profiteroles. And check out Shanghai Terrace for dinner featuring a sampling of our favorite dim sum and wok fried shredded chicken.

Sociable preview event First Bites Bash (26 Jan) gets the party started at Navy Pier’s Aon Grand Ballroom, with savoury and sweet snacks from 60+ eateries. Mmmm…
