Another January is upon us, and if you’re also feeling rather repentant after a far too festive holiday season, new DTLA holistic haven The Springs is the salvation you seek. In a city that loves a day-after rejuvenation as much as a party, health-centric proprietors Kimberly Helms and Jared Stein saw fit to launch their sprawling, 13,800 sq ft multi-purpose yoga studio, spa, raw vegan restaurant and organic juice bar concept just in time for the new year resolution rush – and we couldn’t be happier!
Don’t let its industrial warehouse shell fool you – the raw concrete space has been given a fresh makeover with loads of greenery, sweet lemon, mint and teal furniture, and natural wood accents. And while the fitout alone is enough to have you feeling wholesome again, better still you sign up for one of the 45 weekly yoga sessions spanning Vinyasa to Hatha to Kundalini, or beeline to the spa for restorative treats including Swedish massage, gravity colon hydrotherapy, and acupuncture. In the kitchen, chefs Michael Falso and Ian Martin whip locally sourced ingredients into delicious salads, wraps and pastas, while cold-pressed juices, biodynamic wines and vegan ice cream ensure there’s still a little bit of temptation at hand. Et voilà – your City of Angels halo is back and good as new. Phew!
