The Grove celebrated its 10th anniversary with the opening of its women’s stylist concierge Stylehaüs (LINK) last year, and this year they’ve followed up by adding to their resume a fashion boutique exclusively for the fellas – cue Unionmade. The San Francisco-born multi-brand shop, founded in 2009 and quickly voted one of GQ Magazine’s top 10 independent menswear stores in America, has five years later finally headed south to debut its 1,900 sq ft SoCal flagship.
An artisanal paradise, Unionmade stocks an extensive edit in homegrown and international labels, where locally made apparel like short-sleeved cotton tees from Carhartt and Todd Snyder’s mid-rise chinos hang alongside imported pieces like lightweight deconstructed pea coats from Japanese label Kapital and cargo shorts by France-based brand Arpenteur. You’ll also find exclusive designs from Unionmade collaborations, like the paisley buttoned down collar shirts by Liberty and Gitman, and the limited-edition Kentfield Jackets by Golden Bear. Complete the look with accessories like Caputo & Co. leather belts, knitted beanies by Anonymousism, and suede canoe shows from Quoddy. Finally, add a range of candles and bath products from men’s grooming brand Baxter of California, and you’ve got a one-stop men’s style shop!
