Serving Up the Big Hitters

September 21, 2015
China Open

Sure, it might not be as coveted as the Wimbledon Cup, but the China Open – Asia’s most important tennis tournament – is winning a well-earned reputation faster than John Isner can serve an ace.

In 2014, it attracted such top shots as Rafa Nadal, Serena Williams and Tomas Berdych. And this year all of the aforementioned pros will be back, along with current number one seed Novak Djokovic, in bid to secure the all-important final points of 2015 premier season. Not forgetting the pretty silverware and a not insubstantial wedge of cash, of course.

Held at Beijing Olympic Park’s National Tennis Center, the two week tournament will see plenty of grunting, grinding and hold-your-breathe game points with 50+ top-ranked players taking to the courts for more than 100 singles and doubles matches.

If you’re no ace when it comes to telling a drive volley from a drop shot, consider nabbing a Ground Pass to gain access to the field courts where you’ll see the wildcards and young guns battle it out.

Or if you want to go bigger than a Federer forehand, book a VIP box package which will not only get you a prime perch from which to watch the game’s best go shot for shot, but also some deuce-y extras like gourmet pre-match meals, exclusive lounge access and invitations to the event’s official reception. Now that’s worth making a racket over!
