In the last year alone, local super chef Ian Kittichai has turned his deft hand to creating rave success Issaya La Patisserie, quirky concept Hyde & Seek Peek-a-Boo, and keenly received culinary school, Issaya Cooking Studio. Clearly never one to rest on his laurels, Kittichai has now garnished gastro hotspot Bangkok with yet another new venture, the Namsaah Bottling Trust. A collaboration with Justin Dunne (Ku De Ta) and Frederic Meyer (Blue Elephant Cooking School), this already-buzzing gastrobar and cocktail lounge is housed in an unmistakably shocking pink townhouse in vibey Bangrak.

Inside, the converted space is accented with fun Asian elements like samurai armour, dragon print wallpaper and Chinese parchment paintings – a reflection of Kittichai’s whimsical, multicultural spin on Pan-Asian comfort food. Diners can expect creative twists like the pad thai elevated with the addition of duck foie gras; wonton sheets used as crispy shells for the salmon tartare taco; and panna cotta with a local touch of lychee sorbet. Meanwhile, the bar downstairs is mixing up over 30 craft cocktails, with early standouts including the Aide de Camp’s Choice mixed with gin, basil and elderflower.
