A signature feature at each Peninsula hotel around the world, The Peninsula Tokyo offers this most civilized of ways to spend an afternoon, as a break in a busy shopping or sightseeing expedition, an informal meeting or simply as a wonderfully indulgent treat.

First introduced at The Peninsula Hong Kong in the mid-1970s, afternoon tea, served in the landmark Lobby with its celebrated classical columns and gargoyles to the accompaniment of melodies by The Peninsula Strings, has become a “must” for visitors and residents alike. The Peninsula Tokyo maintains this tradition by serving original Peninsula teas in fine bone china, cakes, scones and finger sandwiches elegantly presented on three-tier stands and live orchestra music playing from The Lobby’s balcony.

Afternoon tea is served daily from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Reservations are accepted, excluding weekends and National Holidays.
