Airport Transfers

Chauffeur-driven Peninsula limousines are the most comfortable and easiest option to get into city centre from Shanghai’s Pudong and Hongqiao International Airports. In addition to escaping the elements in blissful air-conditioned comfort, our meeting and greeting service greatly facilitates the arrivals process.

Rolls-Royce Transfer

The Peninsula Shanghai’s four Rolls-Royce Extended Wheelbase Phantoms are available for guests’ use. Finished in signature Peninsula green, each vehicle has undergone bespoke modifications to suit the needs of guests, providing relaxed, comfortable and luxurious transportation to and from the airport.

Transfers by Rolls-Royce between the hotel and the Hongqiao International Airport is priced at RMB 1,500 one-way or RMB 2,800 round-trip; between the hotel and the Pudong International Airport is priced at RMB 2,000 per one-way, RMB 3,800 round-trip or RMB 2,000 per hour for hire (with a minimum rental period of two hours).

Advance booking is highly recommended.

Transfers by The Peninsula Edition BMW 7-Series Luxury Limousines between the hotel and the Hongqiao International Airport is priced at RMB 900 one-way or RMB 1,500 round-trip; between the hotel and the Pudong International Airport is priced at RMB 1,200 per one-way, RMB 2,000 round-trip or RMB 800 per hour for hire (with a minimum rental period of three hours).

Advance booking is highly recommended.

Taxi

Taxis from the airport are readily available, with clear signage directing you to the taxi line. Please note that most drivers do not speak English, so it is advisable to have the address of your destination written in Chinese, preferably with the cross street(s) as well. The fare is approximately RMB 200 from Pudong airport into Puxi city centre, and there are no additional toll or luggage fees.

Maglev Train

Maglev Train

The Maglev high-speed train (with a subway transfer) is an option for guests coming in from Pudong International Airport, as well as a tourist experience in itself. The Maglev is the fastest train in the world, with a maximum speed of up to 330 km/hr and a ride duration of only seven minutes to the subway station (Metro Line 2). Follow the signage at the airport to the Maglev station where tickets can be purchased for RMB 50 (one-way) and RMB 80 (round-trip),  guests are entitled to enjoy a special discount by showing the valid air ticket. The ride will end at the Long Yang metro station, at which point visitors must purchase a subway ticket into the city centre. The closest subway station to The Peninsula Shanghai is Nanjing Road East Station (Metro Line 2).
