  • Moganshan Road Art Centre
On Moganshan Lu lies the undisputed centre of Shanghai’s flourishing art scene. Only a few years ago the area still seemed remote and empty, but in 2004 a grassroots movement of artists began converting the factories and warehouses of the old Chunming Textile Mill Compound at 50 Moganshan Lu into galleries and personal studios. In April 2005, the government gave its official recognition and protection, designating it a “Creative Industry Clustering Park”.
