Sarah Brightman in Concert
As the world’s top selling soprano famed for her three octave vocal range, it perhaps comes as no surprise that Sarah Brightman’s career whether on film, stage or in concert has been punctuated with a slew of landmark performances and some pretty impressive statistics.
Having sold over 30 million records worldwide (her recording of ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ with tenor Andrea Bocelli sold over 12 million copies alone), she’s been awarded more than 180 gold and platinum awards in over 40 countries, as well as being the first ever performer to be invited to sing at the Olympics in two countries – Barcelona in 1992 with Jose Carreras, and sixteen years later in Beijing with Chinese singer Liu Huan, watched by an estimated 4 billion people worldwide.
2013 has seen the completion of Brightman’s 11th studio album Dreamchaser (featuring singles ‘One Day Like This’ and ‘Angel’) and June will see her embarking on tour with over 100 concerts performed across five continents. The tour kicks off in China on June 16th before taking on Japan and Tokyo, as well as North and South America, with Shanghai’s chance to hear the diva’s dulcet tones coming for one night only on June 23rd at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium better known as the Grand Stage. It promises to be a top C top see!
