For the first time in China, and exclusively at The Peninsula hotels in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Beijing, the Belle Epoque Enchanting Tree adds glamour to any Champagne celebration.
Bringing elements of theatre and poetry to the tasting of Perrier-Jouët’s Belle Epoque cuvée for the first time in Asia and China, the “Enchanting Tree” continues Perrier-Jouët’s tradition of supporting and collaborating with artists and designers as part of its artistic heritage. Created by Dutch designer Tord Boontje, the hand-worked gold metal branches, individually soldered leaves and the marque’s signature white-lacquered anemones, hold six Champagne flutes, while the tree trunk blossoms at the base into a Champagne bucket. Combining both aesthetics and practicality, the flutes are filled whilst in the tree, elegantly lifted out and served - an unusually charming, stylish and memorable invitation to a shared Champagne experience.
Bottles of Perrier-Jouët’s Belle Epoque cuvée will be presented in the “Enchanting Tree” at The Peninsula from 1 September - 31 December 2013 in the following locations:
Shanghai : Sir Elly’s
Restaurant, Bar and Terrace, Compass Bar
and Salon de Ning
Hong Kong : The Verandah Café and Salon de Ning
Beijing : The Lobby and Yun
