Afternoon tea rituals are rooted in British custom since the Duchess of Bedford introduced the fashion of afternoon tea in 1830.

A signature feature of every Peninsula Hotel around the world, the celebrated Peninsula Classic Afternoon Tea is also available at The Lobby of The Peninsula Shanghai. Afternoon Tea includes warm scones and a variety of finger sandwiches, breads and petit fours, all presented on a silver stand with a choice of Peninsula Signature Teas, and accompanied by the classical music of The Lobby Strings.

Served daily from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Afternoon Tea is RMB 250 per person – or make it a special occasion to remember and enjoy a glass of Champagne with your Afternoon Tea at RMB 340 per person.

Afternoon Tea prices are subject to 15% service charge.
