Fashion Forward Fellas
You’ve heard the name Lanvin many times before, on the lips of starlets walking red carpets, in the fineprint framing fashion magazine spreads, and on the front doors of flagships in the most stylish cities across the globe. But until now you’ve never seen a dedicated mens-only boutique anywhere outside of the label’s Parisian home. Hello, New York City. Obviously realising Gotham’s dapper chaps were in dire need of a shop all their own, Lanvin obliged the masses this past February, debuting an elegant UES townhouse stocking the full range of Alber Elbaz’s razor sharp outfitting.
Designed by MR Architecture & Décor (this marking their second collaboration with the brand), the 3-floor men’s flagship smoulders in shades of charcoal, grey and beige, at once evoking old world and contemporary glamour. Adorning the shelves, racks and fixtures, RTW, sportswear, formalwear and smoking jackets, plus shoes, hats, ties and leatherwear all exude the brand’s inherent blend of effortless cool and florid fashion-forwardness. But best of all, the store is also home to a made-to-measure suiting service that offers amongst its bountiful selection some extremely exclusive fabrics from which only a handful of suits can be cut. How’s that for rare flair.
