Credited with bringing the concept of daily wear and prêt-à-porter jewels to the Italian market in 1967, in a stroke Pomellato founder Pino Rabolini forever transformed the previously bespoke and formal business of jewellery, crystallising a signature eye-catching flair and sophisticated but wearable style that blends the finest of craftsmanship with extraordinary semi and precious stones in myriad combinations. With a range now sold in over 120 countries, Pomellato has each decade designed collections to reflect the current zeitgeist, with collections like Nudi, Griffe and Lucciole that have since become timeless classics.
In 2007, Pomellato celebrated its 40th anniversary by entering the world of haute jewellery with its sumptuous Pom Pom range of rings, necklaces and earrings, employing large, rare and unusual stones of high value and extreme opulence, while 2012 saw the launch of the Pomellato 67 ‘retro’ range channeling the 60’s rock and free spirit ethos in a line of contemporary sterling silver.
The brand’s first standalone store arrived in Hong Kong in March, where you’ll find everything from the classic simplicity of Luna rose gold earrings set with oval milky pink quartz, all the way to a breathtaking Pom Pom white gold cocktail ring set with a 32.23 carat oval cabochon tanzanite, and spangled with no less than 140 flat rose and brilliant cut diamonds.
