Nancy Gonzalez Boutique
Vibrant, meticulously-crafted and effortlessly chic, Nancy Gonzalez’s handbags are at once a true celebration and spot-on representation of modern Colombia and its women.
Since her first 8-piece collection debuted in NYC’s Bergdorf Goodman in 1998, Gonzalez and her nature-inspired, consummately modern pieces have gone from strength to fashionable strength, with the colourful line now stocked by more than 300 luxury retailers worldwide. Growing the empire even further is Gonzalez’s latest venture – her first Asian flagship in the heart of bustling Hong Kong.
Following only two other global flagships (one in NYC, the other in her native Colombia), Gonzalez unveiled the Art Deco-inspired space by Rawlins Design in February. The walls are adorned with pieces from her family’s own private art collection, while lining the palmwood and glowing bronze resin shelves are her latest resort collection designs – the Christina day bag in a bold range of hues including cobalt, fuchsia, kelly green and anthracite; monochrome laser-cut crocodile-on-vinyl totes; white lizard and chain shoulder bags; pineapple and apple-shaped wicker minaudieres; plus metallic clutches, crochet and woven carry-alls and lashings of her signature precious skins.
Feather, fruit and floral embellishments ensure each piece exudes an effervescent charm, not unlike like the stylish designer herself. Muy guapa, Nancy!
