Euro-Chic Fashion Lands In Soho
Established in 1986 in the designer’s homeland of Hamburg, Marco Visconti’s cult European womenswear has just undergone a brand reinvention. Now, not only is it headquartered in Hong Kong, but also boasts a total of three stores in the stylish S.A.R., including a chic new location in trendy Soho.
Sleek and minimalistic, the new Staunton St shop features a charcoal black exterior and a cool white and pale wood fitout with colour-coded rails of the designer’s signature silhouettes.
Melding affordable luxury with feminine sensibility, Visconti’s collections are influenced by the art, history and culture of Europe with sharp tailoring, clean shapes and sophisticated style. His new line for Spring 2013 takes inspiration from outfits worn during British equestrian competitions and favours a soft and breathable fabric called tencel, ideal for both contemporary office-wear and glam evening attire.
A modern take on the classic little black dress, one of this season’s must-haves is the Nora Belted Dress with leather detailing on the collar and mid-length sleeves. Other standouts include the gorgeous Bertha Lantern Dress with a glittering dark aqua top and fitted black A-line skirt, the cute white Rebecca Cross-Stitched Jumpsuit, or stylish monochrome Ollie Tassel top with a black collar and loose yet flattering fit. Oh, Marco!
