In recent years Hong Kong has become a haven for nest-makers, with homegrown brands like G.O.D., OVO, Indigo Living, Tree, Bowerbird and Forbidden City, to name but a very few of the wide range of excellent home fashion and lifestyle available to the city’s decorators and interior designers. Joining the ranks this year is the quirkily colourful Grange Interiors, the creation of Catherine Taylor, whose eccentric eye for detail is a refreshing blast against the current tide of greige and Gustavian white wood.
Delighting in the individuality of craftsmanship, Taylor has put together a bright and contemporary range of ceramics, wallpapers and soft furnishings, linen and glassware with a lineup of designers previously unavailable in Hong Kong. Amongst the many brands you’ll find UK-based Timorous Beasties, famed for their modern wallpapers and textiles, along with French company Les Toiles du Soleil, with a neat line in table linens and jaunty deckchairs, and Thornback & Peel’s vintage inspired prints.
The deliciously detailed and delicate ceramic of Marie Daage (one of the few remaining entirely hand-painted Limoges porcelain producers) is a tabletop tickler, along with a handsome range of glassware. Finally, joy of joys, here you’ll also find our favourite botanical products from Ortigia
. The sweet smell of success!
