The Hippest Bazaar this side of the Atlantic
After a packed opening last June and a series of subsequent successes, Dose Market has now secured itself as a permanent fixture on Chicago’s food and fashion circuit, becoming synonymous with good style and good taste. In each month’s pop-up market, vendors set up stalls under the River East Art Center’s lofted roof, awaiting the throngs of shoppers and diners who will spend their Sunday wandering the neatly organised aisles. And this week, after a quick hiatus in August and some admin change-ups, Dose is back to welcome autumn with its monthly market set for October 14th!
For each event, vendors are chosen with local, artisanal, and high-design standards in mind, and since the roster rotates each month to include fresh picks, there’s something new to sample and savour with each visit. Standouts from past pop-ups include Bodkin for hipster garments with serious silhouettes, Apartment Number 9 for curated gentlemen’s essentials, and Chicago culinary up-and-comers Hoosier Mama Pie, Doughnut Vault and Great American Cheese for delectable homemade pies, fresh-from-the-oven doughnuts, and of course, American cheeses. $10 ($8 if purchased in advance) gets you in, and the chance to nibble and model the tastiest tidbits available in Chicago right now.
